Explore creative forms of self-expression while experiencing the flowing techniques of Sumi painting in this workshop for all levels. Sumi (black ink) will be the primary medium used to portray spring images with opportunity to work in color. Traditional tools, materials, brush methods, and approaches to the subjects of fall’s colorful bounty will be used. Students learn to simplify visual elements with minimal brush strokes and are encouraged to express their individual interpretation of the subjects presented. No prerequisites. Some supplies will be provided; supply list available online. Students should bring a sack lunch.
