Kirkland Arts Center is a volunteer fueled organization. We welcome volunteers of all interests and backgrounds to learn and interact with artists, educators, and other volunteers in a fun, informal, and educational environment.  Volunteer opportunities include Short term and Long term responsibilities, but we have more opportunities.  Please review the volunteer opportunities below and complete the volunteer application if you are interested in volunteering with us.
 
VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION will occur on the Second Tuesday of every month, at 6pm in the Kirkland Arts Center Gallery.  Volunteer Orientation is REQUIRED in order to participate in ongoing volunteer activities.  Please fill out our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION (click to fill out form) and mark your calendar for our next second Tuesday date.
 
Kirkland Uncorked July 19-21 and Kirkland Summerfest August 9-11, fun summer events on the Kirkland water front! Help us set up artist booths, art activities, and take down, and share information about the local arts community.
 
Grounds Care Join us to get the grounds around KAC looking great for this summer. Jobs include weeding, raking, watering, and general pick up around the building.
 
Gallery Assistant Learn the inner workings of an art gallery. This position includes managing the gallery one Saturday a month.
 
Facilities Volunteers Looking for a simple way to show you care? Help keep KAC cared for and clean. We need weekly volunteers to come in, 2 - 4 hours per week and care for KAC - sweeping, moping, and organizing of supply cabinet.
 
KAC Street Team Become part of our KAC marketing street team. Once a month, we distribute important materials to the Kirkland community - brochures, posters, postcards. This is a crucial part of KAC's marketing efforts and we need you to be a part of it!
 
Classroom Assistant  The class assistant's primary responsibility is to support the teacher in instruction and to be attentive to the instructor and students needs. Provide leadership, extra hands and eyes — apply your activity skills! Requirements: Basic art skills, working with kids and getting dirty. This position is great for teens or those interested in teaching.
 
Catalog Distribution (Quarterly) We need your help to get the word out about the exciting classes and gallery shows to the community. Grab a stack and distribute to local shops in the greater Seattle area. We'd like you to join us to send out the bulk mailing of our gallery postcards and press packets.
