Clausen is an art teacher on a mission to make sure his students get as much exposure as possible to various artists and mediums of expression.
Because of his work with students, and his longtime dedication to advocating visual arts in schools, Clausen was selected by the National Art Education Association (NAEA) as the Pacific Region Elementary Art Educator of the Year.
Carl typically teaches youth clay, drawing, and painting classes.
