Missing your regular art practice?
Itching to learn something new and use some creative energy?
Nothing turns a day around like an art class.
We are pleased to offer classes online!
It’s the perfect time to try something new or reconnect with an instructor you’re missing.
By taking a class through KAC online, you support the teaching artists you love and Kirkland Arts Center, a non-profit organization.
How does this work, exactly?
Classes are all held live via Zoom.
Zoom is an easy videoconferencing program we’ve chosen in order to create the feeling of being with your instructor and classmates while you’re safe and healthy at home. The KAC team and your favorite teaching artists have worked together to ensure instructors are comfortable on the platform and to modify lesson plans for online learning.
What kind of technology do I need? I’m a little nervous!
You can use Zoom with a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera! We promise, it’s easier than it sounds and we’re here to help.
What about supplies?
Supply lists have been modified to accommodate as well. If you’re concerned about any of the supplies, reach out to your teacher! Many times, there are plenty of acceptable alternatives. You can do a lot with whatever you have.
What does my tuition go toward if I’m not in the building, having my usual experience? I would have thought a Zoom class would be less expensive.
If you have been impacted financially by COVID-19 and as a result are unable to take a class, please reach out to artplease@kirklandartscenter.org. We understand the importance of access to art, especially right now, and we’re here to help.
