Education Program

Kirkland Arts Center (KAC) serves nearly 2,000 students each year with classes in ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, painting, drawing, glass fusing, and multimedia for all ages. The heart of KAC's education programs its exceptional instructors, of professional artists and art educators.

The Kirkland Arts Center houses a large classroom for painting and drawing classes, a printmaking studio and a complete ceramics facility, including two gas-fired kilns.

KAC works closely with other nonprofit and service organizations in the community to provide educational opportunities for young people, including classes, summer art camps and special projects.

Financial Aid

KAC makes every attempt to keep tuition accessible for all students and offers work-study and financial aid for those in need. Each quarter, the Kirkland Arts Center offers 6 work-study positions for adults, the Gene Martenson/Kirkland Kiwanis Sunrisers Scholarship for elementary age students, and the Becky A. Mix Scholarship for junior high and high school students. Students with financial need should contact the Kirkland Arts Center for more information.
