Kirkland Arts Center is a non-profit visual arts school and contemporary art gallery, which serves the community by providing artists and art lovers of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to work together, build creative skills, and broaden knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the visual arts.

The Kirkland Arts Center Gallery is the only non-profit gallery on the Eastside. The gallery fosters local and emerging artists, encourages innovation and creativity, and provides opportunities for independent curators in a professional environment.

The Kirkland Arts Center Gallery is currently accepting proposals from independent curators to exhibit artwork for its 2010 gallery schedule.Curators will be considered for solo or group exhibtions for a 3 1/2 week period. Proposals for exhibitions in all media are eligible. Curators are encouraged to include an educational component (i.e. workshop, slide lecture) to integrate with KAC’s arts education programming.

Curators of selected exhibitions will recieve a $400.00 stipend, exhibition show cards, opening reception and support from KAC in seeking individual and corporate sponsorship for exhibitions.

All proposals must be received by or postmarked by Saturday, November 15, 2008.
