Adult Art Parties

Kirkland Arts Center spaces are rented on an “as is” basis. We strongly recommend potential renters visit the space before making reservations.

The art party fee includes use of our kitchen, bathrooms, chairs, and tables, as well as all art supplies and the instructor fee. You are welcome to serve food, open gifts, etc. in the provided spaces but catering service is not included in the art party package.

We often recommend Lynn’s Bistro or Twelve Baskets Catering, both of which are located nearby and have catered events at KAC in the past.

KAC has approximately four 6-foot rectangular tables and 50+ chairs available for use but does not provide linens, serving trays, tableware, or sound equipment. Use of any KAC supplies/items must be arranged at the time of rental and is dependent on availability.

Renters must provide their own sound equipment but we do have a projector and screen available.

Please let staff know when you book your rental that you would like use of the projector and screen. Additional setup time may be necessary to get the system connected and running before your event.

Please make sure your laptop has a compatible A/V connector. Our projector has ports for USB, VGA, and HDMI cables and we have adapters for Mini DisplayPort and full-sized DVI. If your laptop is not compatible, email info@kirklandartscenter.org or call (425) 822-7161 x105 to arrange use of one of our laptops.

We also always recommend bringing a backup of your presentation or other files on a thumb drive.

Renters are responsible for finding their own vendors. KAC does not have exclusive vendors at this time.
Renters who wish to serve alcohol are required to obtain a Washington state banquet permit, which costs $11 per day. Apply online for a banquet permit.
We recommend you allow an hour ahead of your event for set-up and at least half an hour after your event for clean-up.

Users are expected to leave the facility in the same condition as they found it at the time of rental. A $200 cleaning fine will be added if the kitchen or any other space is not satisfactorily cleaned after use. This fine will automatically be charged to the credit card number provided unless paid immediately after the event.

Renters are responsible for any damage to the Arts Center and its contents, including equipment, supplies, art, etc. Renters agree to compensate KAC for any damages that occur during the event. KAC will automatically deduct up to $250 from the credit card number provided to cover the cost of any damages and will then create a payment plan for any additional amount due.

No decorations can be nailed or pinned to the gallery walls and artwork must remain on the walls for the event. Pedestals with 3D artwork can be moved by staff members on a case-by-case basis if necessary for your event. Candles need to be kept well away from any artwork on display.
No commercial photography featuring exhibition work can be taken but photos and videos for personal use are allowed.
Kirkland Arts Center students and visitors may use the Lakeside Christian Church parking lot located just across our back alley (access on 1st St.) every day except Sunday. Street parking around Kirkland Arts Center is also free to the public.

Two spaces directly behind Kirkland Arts Center are reserved for disabled parking and quick loading and unloading. The red zone in front of the gallery on Market St. may also be used for temporary loading and unloading.

Due to the historic nature of our building, KAC is not fully accessible. More detailed accessibility information is available here.

Please call ahead if you need ramp access or for further information about accessibility.

Only service animals are allowed in rental spaces during special events.
