requests proposals
for the interior redesign of the Peter Kirk Building
The Kirkland Arts Center makes available rental space for meetings,
special events, and artist work in the beautiful and historic Peter Kirk
Building. KAC houses a complete ceramics studio, a printmaking room, a
large, well-lit classroom, a fully-outfitted kitchen, an exhibit gallery
and a small meeting room. The Kirkland Arts Center is ideal for creative
company retreats, small business meetings, private receptions, and working
artists.
PRINTMAKING STUDIO
The Kirkland Arts Center Print Studio features a 30" x 60" Takash state-of-the-art
combination printing press, which is suitable for work in a variety of printmaking
processes including intaglio, relief and monoprints. Lithography will be available
in the near future. Print studio renters have access to drying racks, glass-covered
table space, sink, a workroom in an historic building and the camaraderie of
knowledgable and enthusiastic artists, students, instructor, and staff.
CERAMICS STUDIO
The Kirkland Arts Center houses a fully-outfitted ceramics studio, which is
available for group rental for company retreats and special projects.
Resources include access to a slab roller, electric throwing wheels, hand building
tables, limited glazes, tools and clay, an extruder and several kilns, including a
large gas kiln, small gas kiln, a 25" oval electric kiln, two 23" electric kilns
and raku. Assistance and/or instruction by KAC staff or instructors is required
for rental and must be scheduled at the time of arrangement.
