For more than ten years Kirkland Arts Center was the sole producer of Summerfest, an annual arts event. 2006 was our most successful event ever, with an estimated 80,000 people joining us at Summerfest: art and wine on the waterfront and overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Despite this success, Summerfest tapped a significant portion of Kirkland Arts Center’s resources. After spending 2005-2006 engaged in strategic planning around our Vision for the Future (click here to view), the Board determined that Summerfest is not sustainable for the Arts Center. Beginning in 2007, Kirkland Arts Center will no longer produce Summerfest. For more information about arts events in Kirkland, please visit the Kirkland Cultural Council’s website.
