Call for Artists: Young Artists Exhibition

Attention young artists! You are invited to exhibit your artwork at the Kirkland Summerfest Young Artists Exhibition, happening August 10-12th!

The Young Artists Exhibition is a three-day art show for all creative youth up to age 18 during the 7th annual Kirkland Summerfest Music + Art Festival. This year, the Young Artist Exhibition will be at the historic Heritage Hall in downtown Kirkland.

“My Robot Family”


All entered artwork will be shown at the exhibition and will receive a ribbon. One young artist from each age group will be entered to win a youth workshop or class at KAC, up to a $250 value, and their artwork will be shown in the KAC gallery in 2019. Artwork will be judged by KAC teaching artists on the interpretation of the theme, originality, creativity, and innovative use of materials.


Up to two entries will be accepted per artist. Artistic media can include (but are not limited to): oil, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, pencil, ink, crayon, print work, photography, textiles, clay, glass, wood, and recycled materials.

Paintings, drawings, prints, and photographs should not exceed 24″ x 36″ and must be matted or mounted on foam board or other rigid board for ease of displaying. We request that framing not include glass.

Three-dimensional pieces should not exceed 14″ in height and should include a mount or be able to stand upright without a mount.

Artwork will be available for pick up following the conclusion of Summerfest through August 15-19th.
