Lalitha was born and brought up in India. She graduated with a Master degree in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art, London and got her Bachelors from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore. She has had her first solo exhibition in the year 2010 and has frequently had shows in India, Singapore, and London since then.
Having received the Future Leader Scholarship and the Lasalle Merit Scholarship during her study, she was the youngest to participate in an Art forum ‘Warp Artist Village 2015’ conducted in Belgium as part of the Triennale Brugge’15 and was also shortlisted for Clifford Chance Sculpture Prize for the year 2017, London. Lalitha was recently invited to show one of her works at the 2019’s Singapore Art Walk, Singapore.

Though her forte lies with drawing and painting media — oil painting, charcoal and watercolor, of late she has been exploring sculptural forms and site specific works involving materials such as ceramic, concrete, metal and wood.

Along with being a teaching faculty at the Kirkland Arts Center, she works as a Researcher and Fabricator at the John Grade Studio, Seattle and continues to pursue her own artistic practice from her home studio.

Lalitha currently teaches Oil Painting, Intermediate to Advanced.
