Policies, Terms & Conditions

All registrants must agree to KAC’s terms and conditions.

Classes not meeting minimum enrollment numbers will be cancelled in the week prior to their start.

If your class is cancelled, you may select one of three ways to receive your refund:

  • A full refund in the form of a check. To ensure prompt refunds, please make sure the mailing address we have on file for you is correct.
  • A refund credit certificate for 100% of the cost of the class. Refund credits are valid for one (1) year from issue date. To ensure prompt refunds, please make sure the mailing address and/or email address we have on file for you is correct. Refund credits are valid for one (1) year from issue date.
  • A transfer into a different class. This is dependent upon current class enrollment levels.

Registrations originally paid for with a gift certificate are not eligible for check or the 100% refund credit certificate options. In these cases, a gift certificate will be reissued in the amount originally paid for the class or you may opt to transfer into a different class, depending on availability.

Withdrawals ten (10) or more days prior to the first day of class: student will receive a refund less a $20 withdrawal fee in the form of a check. To ensure prompt refunds, please make sure the mailing address we have on file for you is correct.

Withdrawals nine (9) days or fewer before the first day of class: student will receive a 60% credit towards another class in the form of a refund credit certificate. Refund credits are valid for one (1) year from issue date. To ensure prompt refunds, please make sure the mailing address and/or email address we have on file for you is correct.

Withdrawals the first day of class and thereafter: no refunds or credits.

Students may be contacted via email, phone, or mail. Class enrollment and transfer confirmations, supply list changes, cancellation notices, surveys, and other important notifications are primarily sent via email. Please add and to your email contact list to prevent important messages and confirmations from being sent to your spam folder.

Youth Enrollment

Students must be 14 or older to register for adult classes. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the KAC Education Department staff and the class instructor. Those interested in registering their children ages 13 and under in adult classes must call or visit the KAC Education Office for permission to register.

Proration Policy

KAC allows one class proration per student per calendar year. Students may not prorate more than half of the sessions in a class.

If a class fills, prorating students may be asked to pay the full price for the class or they will be withdrawn from the class to make room for a student paying full price.

Prorated students will not count towards a class meeting its minimum enrollment.

Requests for a class proration must be made prior to the start of class. Students must call or visit the Education Office in person to register for a prorated class.

Class proration may be combined with other class discounts.

If a class is full, students may contact the Education Office and request to be put on the waitlist or sign up for the waitlist online. If an enrolled student withdraws, waitlisted students will be contacted in the order of the list.

Students must call or visit the Education Office in person to register for a waitlisted class. If a waitlisted student does not register for the available space within one business day of being contacted, the space will be offered to the next person on the waitlist. If there is no one else on the waitlist, the space may be opened to the general public for registration.

Additionally, when the following quarter is opened for registration, waitlisted students will be notified first.
